alpha Kappa Delta Phi History ↑

alpha Kappa Delta Phi is the largest national Asian-American sorority founded at the University of California, Berkeley in 1990. With much dedication, love, and strength, the 4 founding sisters, Susan Kim, Fannie Pon, Jill Yoshimura, and Reina Yuan created a foundation of sisterhood, scholarship, and leadership. After many years of hard work and dedication, alpha Kappa Delta Phi has become an established organization on various College campuses. Who would of guess that a group of 4 Asian American women would soon expand to 43 chapters coast to coast (and still expanding actively). 17 of which are full-fledge chapters, 12 of which are associate chapters and 14 of which are colonies.

UC Riverside Beginnings ↑

In 1992, another UC campus also wanted to bring the same diversity, sisterhood, and love within their Greek system. With the help of 9 Individual women, Victoria Chan, Janet Suny Chang, June Chung, Tina Der, Jane Jovellanos, Jennifer Lee, Traci Lee, Julie Ryoo, and Alison Sato, the Epsilon chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi at the University of California, Riverside was established. As a full fledge chapter, the Epsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta Phi has strived to accomplish the goals of sisterhood, leadership, scholarship, and service. We always try to maximize our strengths and performance every year and be a model chapter to our other fellow sisters nations-wide.
